Ezt a k�st az �szak-amerikai indi�n kult�ra ir�nti tiszteletem �s rajong�som alak�totta. M�g pontosabban: ilyen akart lenni...

Hogy mennyire �gy van, n�zz�k a r�szleteket...

J� p�r h�napja kaptam egy kedves ismer�s�mt�l n�h�ny fossziliz�l�dott barlangi medve fogat. El�g rossz �llapotban voltak, de siker�lt �ket stabiliz�lnom �s k�smarkolat alapanyagot el��ll�tanom bel�l�k. Ennek "gy�m�lcsek�nt" a fogakat adom�nyoz� m�rbirtokba is vehette a k�pek k�z�tt is l�that� "Nagy Medve" n�vre keresztelt k�st. (//gfknives.gportal.hu/gindex.php?pg=27607583&gid=2389161 )

Maradt m�g egy haszn�lhat� fog - ez el�g sok�ig v�rta, hogy v�g�l mi lesz vele (m�g az is felmer�lt, hogy zsin�r-nyakkend� foglalaltk�nt v�gzi...� ).

Azt�n egy K�sport�l tal�lkoz�n Hegyes Sanyi el�pakolt p�r �jonnan h�kezelt N678-as peng�t... K�zt�k volt ennek a k�snek a peng�je is, amibe azonnal beleszerettem. R�gt�n az ugrott be, hogy ezt a peng�t pontosan a medvefogba teremtette Sanyi. (Pedig nem is tudott a l�tez�s�r�l...� ) Szerencs�re siker�lt egy bonyolult csere�gylettel elcs�b�tanom a k�sz�t�t �s �gy a birtokomba ker�lhetett ez a sz�ps�g. (Itt is megjegyzem: Sanyi fantasztikusan komoly munka-k�seket k�sz�t, amiket tisztelettel csod�lok, de amikor n�ha "j�tszik" �s mindenf�le "marad�k vasakb�l" alkot peng�ket - azt im�dom...� )

Teh�t adott volt a markolat �s a penge, de hi�nyzott a "koncepci�", ami alapj�n "eg�sz k�ss�" v�lhattak volna. "Medve-k�st" m�r k�sz�tettem... Hasonl�t pedig nem akartam �jra. �gyhogy sok�ig csak "v�v�dtam" - azt�n j�tt a "jel".�

R�g�ta nagyon �rdekel az �szak-amerikai indi�nok kult�r�ja. Ha id�m akad, akkor sz�vesen b�jom a netet ebben a t�m�ban. Egy nap �ppen Geronimo (h�res "rebellis" apacs f�n�k) lejegyzett eml�keit olvasgattam (itt: http://www.nativeamericans.com/Geronimo.htm# Origins%20of%20the%20Apache%20Indians ) amikor r�bukkantam erre a kis t�rt�netre:

"I frequentLy went with these parties, and upon one of these excursions a
woman named Cho-ko-le got lost from the party and was riding her pony
through a thicket in search of her friends. Her little dog was following as
she slowly made her way through the thick underbrush and pine trees. All at
once a grizzly bear rose in her path and attacked the pony. She jumped off
and her pony escaped, but the bear attacked her, so she fought him the best
she could with her knife. Her little dog, by snapping at the bear's heels
and distracting his attention from the woman, enabled her for some time to
keep pretty well out of his reach. Finally the grizzly struck her over the
head, tearing off almost her whole scalp. She fell, but did not lose
consciousness, and while prostrate struck him four good licks with her
knife, and he retreated. After he had gone she replaced her torn scalp and
bound it up as best she could, then she turned deathly sick and had to lie
down. That night her pony came into camp with his load of nuts and berries,
but no rider. The Indians hunted for her, but did not find her until the
second day. They carried her home, and under the treatment of their medicine
men all her wounds were healed."

Eg�szen elk�pededtem �s sok�ig motoszk�ltak bennem az olvasottak. V�g�l kialakult egy k�splasztika k�pe, amivel ennek Cho-ko-le (m�s �t�r�sokban: Chokole) nev� apacs n�nek �s az � n�p�nek pr�b�lok szer�ny eml�ket �ll�tani.

A markolatr�l �s a peng�r�l m�r esett sz�. �sszeilleszt�s�k nem volt egyszer�, egy s�rgar�z t�mbb�l kiv�sett bakni �s egy kis v�r�s fiber seg�ts�g�vel siker�lt.

A tok nedvesen form�zott �s kem�ny�tett b�r, ami az inidi�n s�trak (tipik) vonalait is k�veti. Erre ker�lt egy festett, faragott b�r domborm� sastoll mot�vum. A tok �nmag�ban nagyon j�l tartja a k�st, de a biztons�g kedv��rt r� akartam szerkeszteni valami z�r� szerkezetet is. A forma azonban olyan j�l mutatott mag�ban, hogy nem volt sz�vem tov�bbi varr�ssal terhelni, ez�rt egy k�l�n felhelyezhet� b�r gy�r�t kapott (rajta csont �s n�v�nyi mag d�sz�t�sekkel).
